Meet Amol Menon, age 14

 Board of Advisors member since 2016

Amol  is a sophomore at the Science and Math Academy in Harford  County.   He has a passion for technology. Three years ago, he founded a company  Under5Graphics.  His company made customized graphic banners  for Minecraft for under $5. Last year, he co-founded a non profit  STEMAxcess Foundation that teaches STEM to kids with learning disabilities. The foundation also takes STEM teaching to kids who live in homeless shelters. He  and his brother volunteer  their time as the  Youth Ambassadors for the Tourette and Tic disorders of America and talk  about Tic disorders and bullying  to school students  He also visits Capitol Hill  every year to advocate for the passage of bills in Congress to support pediatric neurologic diseases. He loves math and having nearly aced the SAT math section at age 12, he was awarded the Study of Exceptional Talent medal by the Center of Talented  Youth of the  Johns Hopkins University. He plays the drums and piano and loves to fence competitively at a local club.  Amol is delighted to be a board member of the WeCancerve movement and to contribute his technology skills to help other kids. This is his second board appointment.
