Pajamas Parade

One of the most needed items among children in foster care is pajamas. That’s because many children are placed in foster care under emergency circumstances. With little notice or time for

planning – or packing personal items like clothes, toys or a keepsakes – children are sometimes

whisked out of their family homes and placed with strangers with just the clothes on their backs.

To answer this call for help,  We Cancerve started Pajamas Parade in February 2024 in Boca

      Raton, FL

Pajamas Parade provides a pair of brand-new pajamas to primarily infant and toddlers.

Pajamas represent warmth, comfort and a sense of security during a time of uncertainty and

difficulty for children. This is why we’ve extended this project beyond helping children in

foster care. We now support children experiencing homelessness and fighting critical                          illnesses.

To date, We Cancerve has provided new pajamas to more than 100 children, thanks to a sizeable donation from signature sponsor Macy’s. Recipient organizations have included Healthy Babies DC in Washington, DC; 4Kids in Boca Raton, FL; the Annual Brooklyn Park Baby Shower in MD; Black Lion Hospital in Ethiopia and TSURUMI Children's Hospice in Japan.
