Jan. 24  MLK Day of Service Project

10 a.m., EpiCenter, Edgewood. Local alumni chapters of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. will sponsor We Cancerve's "Snack Attack" to ensure children at area domestic violence safe houses, homeless shelters and low-resource after-school programs have delicious and nutritious after-school snacks.  By invitation only.​

March 7  Breakfast Bags Bonanza: National Cereal Day Stuffing Event Kid-Friendly

​10:30 a.m., Location TBD. Join us in collecting cereal and stuffing 200+ Breakfast Bags for area youth experiencing food insecurity.

 

Mar. 28 Do Good Drop In/Eggstra Special Easter Bagsits Kid-Friendly

10 a.m., Location TBD.  Join We Cancerve as we stuff 300+ "Bagkits" with special treats for area vulnerable children. Now registering sponsors of individually-wrapped candy or small novelties for our bags. Sign up today!

 

Mar. 28 Inclusive Egg Hunt Kid-Friendly

1 p.m., Coppermine Bel Air Athletic Club.  We Cancerve will join the Harford County Public Library Foundation during its inaugural inclusive egg hunt. For more information, contact the HCPL Foundation.

​​​Apr. 17 Wreaths of Warmth: A Craft Project Celebrating Month of the Military Child 

2:30 p.m., Abingdon. In preparation for Month of the Military Child, We Cancerve's Gloria Park will lead an intergenerational project to encourage hospitalized children of military parents with cards and craft kits. By invitation only.

 

​Apr. 18 Superhero & Comic Book Kit Stuffing Party Kid-Friendly

10:30 a.m., Location TBD. Join We Cancerve as we help hospitalized children become superheros in their own comic stories, thanks to kits we’ll compile for them at this fun-filled event.

Various locations.  Wanna help us make sure area children without stable housing have warm socks this winter? Support the upcoming SOCKtober drive, a longtime collaboration between the Harford County government, We Cancerve and a team of other local organizations.

Oct 9 Threads of Hope Closet I Restock 

2:30 p.m., Aberdeen, MD. We Cancerve's Gloria Park will lead the restock of our amazing clothing closet at Halls Cross Roads Elementary School. The closet provides brand-new and gently-used clothes for families of the school's community. Clothing industry leaders: wanna donate to a worthy cause? Save the environment and give us unwanted - but good - clothing. We always know who needs them!

Oct 10  Art with a Heart Microgrant Opens  Kid-Friendly

Applications accepted thru Nov. 10 to award one grant in the amount of $300-$500 annually to one public school in Harford County, MD, over the next five academic years.  The grant encourages students to conceive, plan, and execute a service project that uses artistic expression to benefit the local school community. Oct 31  Monster Munch & Mingle at the Ronald McDonald House of Baltimore ​​

4 p.m., We Cancerve Board of Advisors plus our family and friends will sponsor dinner and trick-or-treat for children currently in active medical treatment and their families staying at the Ronald McDonald House in Baltimore.

Nov 7 Children's Cancer Foundation Gala  

7 p.m., Martin's Greenbelt. We Cancerve is volunteering at this annual event celebrating advancements in pediatric cancer research. This is a ticketed event.
