The We Cancerve Movement, Inc.
Bringing swift solutions to children in sad situations
Gloria Park, Member of the all-youth Board of Advisors of the We Cancerve Movement, created Wreaths of Warmth in 2025 as an intergenerational project to benefit critically children of U.S. service members.
Wreaths of Warmth
Wreaths of Warmth is an intergenerational craft project created by We Cancerve Board Member Gloria Park in 2025 when she was 14 years old to bring together senior citizens at a Harford County area senior housing facility with local middle and high school students to create a craft kit and cards of affirmation for critically ill children of U.S. service members. We Cancerve donates these kits to contacts at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, the Believe in Tomorrow House in Baltimore and Ocean City, and the Ronald McDonald House of Maryland also in Baltimore during April in recognition of Month of the Military Child. More than 70 children have benefited from this project.
Thanks to initial funding from the Elevate Prize Foundation, Wreaths of Warmth is a much-anticipated event by the senior citizens and the youth.
